Exploring Dinacharya

Āyurveda and Daily Practice

In Āyurveda, the series of daily practices done to promote vital physical and mental health are known as dinacharya (dinacaryā). When practiced regularly, dinacharya create a rhythm throughout the day that  builds structure and comfort. In this way, these practices become rituals to look forward to and seek solace in.

Dinacharya practices include activities for all aspects of daily living, some are done upon waking, others as self care, some support for digestion & elimination, others are grounding physical activities, and much much more. And the best part is, like all Āyurveda you are invited to start with what works for you exactly where you are, so there is no pressure to make huge shifts. Instead, you get to explore and even play at trying new things and creating a personal adventure.

In Exploring Dinacharya you will be introduced to practical and accessible dinacharya practices over four weeks. During this time you will have the opportunity to try on and experience these practices with the intention of establishing a basic routine to either help get you started or re-invigorate your previous commitment to yourself.

Under the guidance of your teacher, Elizabeth Cunningham Bossart, you will be encouraged to adopt the practices that integrate naturally so that rather than feeling pushed to make big leaps in a small amount of time you will find yourself empowered to embrace manageable shifts towards a lifetime of better balance.

This course is for anyone looking to invite sustainable shifts towards balance regardless of your experience level. The content will reflect the group and is open to all.

It was a bit like a support group of people all trying to live more Āyurvedically, try new recipes, and have amazing and useful conversations led by Elizabeth all focused around “how to” specifically, as well as participants’ own questions specifically about ourselves.
