Defining Yoga Therapy
One of the fastest growing fields in the Yoga and Wellness sectors is that of Yoga Therapy. Though not a new area of practice, interest in and visibility of Yoga Therapy is growing right now at a time when Yoga practitioners and professionals alike are seeking deeper healing and connection through their practices.
So what is Yoga Therapy? How is it different from the studio Yoga so many are familiar with? What training does a Yoga Therapist need? What does a Yoga Therapist do? Can Yoga Therapy really elevate an established practice? Is Yoga Therapy rooted in Western or Eastern modalities? Can Yoga Therapy be used in group settings? How do I differentiate Yoga Therapy from other modalities in a professional environment or for potential clients?
Can Yoga Therapy really have a profound impact in a person’s day to day life? How?
