Yoga and Ethics Through the Yogasūtras
The landscape of the world we know is constantly shifting. It can leave us feeling unsettled about how to proceed or about how to engage in ways that benefit the greater whole. For many of us, finding guidance and clarity in these times can feel daunting and even insurmountable. It can often feel like doing what is right and remaining true to our values is a bit like being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Fortunately, for those of us who have found the Viniyoga tradition and who strive to stay on the yogic path, clarity can be found in the space we find many different answers, the Yoga Sutras.
Join Melissa Shah (she/they) for a thought provoking workshop on examining privilege, and living ethically through the lens of the Yoga Sutras. You will be invited to reflect on your own positionality and identities and discuss ethical values in yoga and how they apply to your own role in today’s culture. You will leave this workshop with a deeper sense of clarity of how to apply the rich lessons from the Yoga Sutras to contribute to a more just society and honor the source of the teachings we have all benefited so much from.
Yoga and Ethics Through the Yogasūtras is a 3-hour workshop that will take place on Saturday, December 10th at 9am PST. A recording of the workshop will be available in the Student Portal after the live Workshop completes.
